I don’t mind walking along through crowded places, but there are just two things that really annoy me. First, the people who push and shove other people aside, and second, the people who walk slowly in groups and practically take over the whole street/aisle/walkway.
For the people who are in such a hurry so as to start pushing other people, is it really necessary? It’s not like they’re going to get to wherever they need to go earlier just because they get ahead of other people. It’s freakin’ crowded. I feel really annoyed at those who feel some sort of false gratification at the fact that they have walked past a bunch of other people. If they are late, then they should stop being lazy and wake up earlier to beat the human traffic. Then for the people who think that walking in crowded areas while chatting with their friends at such a slow pace is fine, it’s not! I think it is really rude because when they block off the whole section for walking, other people can’t pass through. What is even more annoying is that when some people do manage to overtake, those annoying people who monopolize the walking area look at them badly, as if they weren’t doing anything wrong. How selfish can some people get? Walking in busy streets or areas is not a leisurely activity; we have gardens and recreational parks for that. Seriously, where is the sense of urgency?
I have dealt with this situation a lot of times. I commute everyday and see thousands of people rushing to go to work or school. And everyday, every single freaking day, someone shoves me aside, hits my bag and almost drags it with them without apologizing, pushes me forward (medyo pa-kunyari pa sa simula), and makes such a big fuss about being late. Like this one instance while I was going to this certain place and there was obviously a crowd getting stuck going down the stairs. I was walking at a normal pace, the same as everybody else, and was particularly taking extra caution because there was an old man in front of me and I did not really want to step on him, when suddenly this annoying girl tried to squeeze herself between me and the person next to me. How rude can she get? On normal days I would have just let her pass for heaven’s sake but I got so pissed off today I boxed her out with my arm. That should have made her realize that some people do not appreciate being pushed like that.
Sigh. When will some people learn?
